Associate in Business Adminstration, Clayton State Univerity

Bachelorof Science in Education, Grand Canyon University

Master of Science in Education, Walden University

This is my first year at Burnett and I am grateful that I have been given the opportunity to work with such amazing students, parents, and co-workers. I truly have the greatest job in the world! Prior to coming to Burnett, I taught at King Elementary in Clayton County Public for three years, teaching 3rd and 4th grade.

While attending Clayton State University, I worked with students as a mentor tutor, and then completed my studies at Grand Canyon University and Walden University. I got a job tutoring elementary students in Atlanta Public Schools. It was during this time that the thought of becoming a teacher began to work its way through my brain.  I had a few jobs following graduation, but none that I found nearly as enjoyable as working in education.

When I'm not at school, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends.  During my summer breaks I take the opportunity to travel the world through the medium of cruise ships. I am a big believer in living life to its fullest and helping others to do likewise. While I do not have children of my own, I was a foster parent for five years and I fostered forty-two children from various ethnic groups. I have a passion to see children live out their full potential and therefore I make it my business to challenge them to think outside of their box and know that all things are possible if they work hard.
