Douglas County School System

The Douglas County School System invites the residents of Douglas County to participate in the annual Stakeholder Meetings. The Douglas County School District Title I Department invites the public, along with teachers, principals, and parents, to give input on the Douglas County School System's Federal Programs, the spending of Title I funds, the District Improvement Plan (DIP), and the LEA Parent and Family Engagement Policy. A feedback meeting will be held on Thursday, May 25, 2017 at 5:30 p.m. and a planning meeting will be held on Thursday, July 20, 2017 at 9:00 a.m. The location for both meetings is 9030 Highway 5, Douglasville, GA. Friday, May 5th: STEM DAY: Join us as we celebrate a day of Science, Technology, Math, and Engineering. Please come and have lunch with your and visit their classroom for STEM.

Friday, May 5th: Kindergarten Hot dog fundraiser

Wednesday, May 10th: PAC Meeting (8:30 a.m.)

Wednesday, May 10th: Field Day 3-5 grade

Thursday, May 11th- Field day K-2 grade

Thursday, May 11th - Kindergarten Round-up

Friday, May 12th –End of the Year A.R. Celebration at 8:30a.m.

Friday, May 19th – End of the year party at 1:00pm

Monday, May 22nd: Awards Day for Kindergarten-Fourth Grade

Kindergarten: 9:00-9:30                          

First Grade: 8:15-8:45

Second Grade: 9:45-10:15                     

Third Grade: 10:30-11:15

Fourth Grade: 11:15-11:45

Thursday, May 25th: Fifth Grade Awards -Processional -8:30a.m. /Awards Ceremony -9:00a.m.

Thursday, May 25th: Half Day Early Release at 11:30 (all grade levels)

Friday, May 26th:  Attendance Awards & Last Day of School and half day early release at 11:30

For the months of January and February, two students were selected to receive this donation. 

Dr. Thompson escorted Camari A. (1st grade) and Layla H. (2nd grade) to shop our Sweetheart Book Fair and each spent $25.00.  They were both so excited and we so appreciate Assure Heating/Air for being one of our local Partners in Education.
